Mel Cliffe

Mel has been performing for longer than he'd care to remember. The first band was "Contrast" back in the 70s, moving on to "Sundown" during which time he played many gigs with old friend the late "Rocky Page". The line up changed many times and the band, later re-named "Reflections" played every Riverland venue & Cruise boat, then moved on to the Adelaide scene. The final line up in "Reflections" was Mel, and his wife Margaret with sons Justin & Shane on bass and drums. After the family grew away from home, Mel continued as a solo performer in many Adelaide venues including the Arkaba Hotel, the Rex Hotel and the Adelaide Casino. He has entertained regularly on the Murray Expedition (formerly Proud Mary) since 1999 and still performs fortnightly at the Murray Bridge Community Club where his son Shane is now the Manager.
